Job Summary

Job Title: Locum Emergency Medicine Physician

This facility is dedicated to providing quality care in emergency medicine and is seeking a Locum Emergency Medicine physician to cover shifts into 2026. This opportunity offers a supportive environment with a competent medical team ensuring efficient patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a high-volume ED.
Supervise midlevel providers along with maintaining collaborative relationships with full-time physicians.
Participate in daily operations and ensure adherence to hospital protocols and standards.
Respond to house codes and emergency situations as necessary.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage patient admissions in coordination with hospitalists.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record system (Cerner).

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with at least 2 years of ER experience.
Clean background check for prompt credentialing.
Local provider availability is essential no exceptions.
Ability to provide documentation for all required certifications and health assessments.
Willingness to adhere to the facilitys policies and procedures.

License and Certification Requirements:

Current Michigan State Medical License (not accepting IMLC).
DEA Certification.
ATLS and PALS certifications (for non-EM boarded physicians).
