Job Summary

Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Palliative Medicine

Join a dynamic medical team in beautiful Traverse City Michigan where youll provide compassionate care in a multifaceted palliative medicine setting. This opportunity includes simultaneous coverage for Inpatient Palliative Medicine Consults an Outpatient Clinic Practice and home-based Hospice Care services. Set against the backdrop of stunning natural beauty Traverse City offers a perfect blend of work and leisure in a vibrant community.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide physician oversight across multiple services including inpatient consultations outpatient clinics and home hospice care.
Manage an average daily census of 12-18 patients collaborating with advance practice providers.
Respond to an average of 10 calls/pages during the day shift and 1 during the night shift.
Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management.
Participate in a 7-on 7-off schedule with 24-hour call coverage ensuring continuity of care.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Active Michigan medical license (preferred).
Current BLS certification.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills and compassionate patient management.

License and Certification Requirements:

Active Michigan medical license (preferred).
Current BLS certification (required).
Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (required).
Copy of NPDB self-query pulled within the last month (required).
