Nationwide IT Services NIS is seeking a Junior Frontend Engineer for a potential this position the Engineer will:
- Build responsive component-based UIs using React (or Angular/Vue) that interact with complex backend APIs.
- Prototype mockups or wireframes for stakeholder presentations and reviews.
- Create a comprehensive and unified library of UI components that can be utilized for all future development and can be modified for specific use cases.
- Perform functional and integration testing of UI components and workflows using modern testing tools such as Jest React Testing Library Playwright Mocha/Chai etc.
- Building interfaces that are responsive to all screen sizes and aligned with Government 508 Compliance requirements.
- Ensure UI works with screen readers (JAWS/NVDA) keyboard navigation and color contrast before QA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
- 2 years of designing and developing user interfaces using React or React Native.
- Familiarity with modern design tools such as Figma.
