McBride Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer supporting the Training Division (AFLCMC/WNR) at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden Utah. The WNR Division serves as the Air Forces technical acquisition and sustainment authority delivering comprehensive and mission-critical support to the war fighter.
The division oversees a wide range of Air Force systems including Electronic Warfare Range Systems Air Combat Training Command and Control Systems Advanced Radar Threat Systems and Combat Survivor Evader Locator systems. WNR also provides ongoing support to depot-level sustainment Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and partners such as the U.S. Army Navy PACAF ACC AFMC and AETC. This position supports engineering and technical management activities across the acquisition lifecycle.
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance
Education & Experience: Bachelors Degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program with 12 years of directly related experience including 5 years in a DoD environment
OR
15 years of directly related experience with 8 years in a DoD environment
Requirements development across production deployment operations and sustainment
Architecture development and implementation
Modeling and Simulation including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles
Verification & Validation (V&V)
Technical data package development and sustainment
Configuration management principles
Network architectures embedded systems and application deployment across hardware platforms
Cloud deployment and virtualization environments
Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes including Technology Maturation Risk Reduction Engineering Manufacturing Development (EMD) and Production & Deployment
Familiarity with Electronic Warfare and/or Air Combat operations
Experience with live aircrew training and TTP development
Range infrastructure architectures and systems
Familiarity with foreign ground radar
Masters Degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program with 10 years of directly related experience including 5 years in a DoD environment
Position supports Foreign Military Sales (FMS) workload (FMS experience preferred but not required)

Experience and Knowledge Experience integrating separate functions to plan implement or execute a logistics management program Familiarity with the acquisition lifecycle and product support planning across each phase or milestone Understanding of DoD 5000 series acquisition management processes Experience working with the DoD Integrated Product Support (IPS) element structure Knowledge of PS-BCA LCSP and Logistics Health Assessment (LHA) processes Familiarity with the DoD Product Support Manager Guidebook Knowledge of program planning funding and management information systems within a DoD environment Broad understanding of organizations and functions involved in providing logistical support This position supports Foreign Military Sales (FMS) workload. FMS experience is preferred but not required.
