Screener Questions to Ask
- Essential Functions
- Lead monthly property and portfolio cost analysis preparing variance reports comparing actual results to budget prior year and key benchmarks such as expense per square foot.
Identify and assess cost variances ensuring issues are escalated investigated and resolved through collaboration with property management and operations.
Prepare and present financial and operational reports that highlight key findings trends and recommendations for management decision-making.
Develop and maintain standardized reporting tools dashboards and financial models to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Partner with Property Management and Operations teams to ensure accuracy of financial data and timely resolution of discrepancies.
Drive process improvements including the integration of AI tools and automation to enhance recurring financial review processes.
Review financial information for prospective tenants including balance sheets income statements and limited tax return details to assess financial health and creditworthiness.
Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting at both the property and corporate levels.
Work independently while collaborating across multiple departments to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial reporting.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Education & Experience
- Required
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics Business Administration or a related field
Minimum 3 4 years of experience in financial analysis ideally within commercial real estate or property management
Proven experience in budgeting variance analysis and financial reporting over a minimum of 3 4 years - Preferred
MBA
Experience working in structured process-driven environments such as larger private or public companies
Experience with Yardi or other real estate accounting/reporting systems
At least 3 years of commercial real estate experience
