Job Title:Financial Consultant FP&A & Anaplan

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Range: USD 65-75/hr

Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and systems-oriented Finance professional with strong Anaplan expertise. This role combines core FP&A ownership with hands-on Anaplan model optimization and enhancement. The ideal candidate brings deep financial planning experience along with functional Anaplan capabilities and thrives in a fast-paced high-growth environment. This individual will serve as a key bridge between Finance and cross-functional stakeholders
driving scalable planning processes and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

FP&A & Strategic Finance
Own and deliver core financial planning processes including:
Month-end close and variance analysis
Forecasting and annual budgeting
Headcount and expense planning
Financial consolidation and reporting
Resource allocation modeling
Build robust financial models and business cases to support investment decisions.
Analyze business-critical metrics and deliver clear executive-ready insights and recommendations.
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support leadership decision-making.

Standardize and improve financial processes to enhance scalability and accuracy.

Anaplan Planning & Systems Support

Partner with Finance stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Anaplan solutions.
Support enhance and optimize existing Anaplan models (forecasting headcount expense planning).
Perform model testing validation and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and model performance.
Contribute to model building configuration and structural improvements.
Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and maintain thorough documentation of changes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within planning systems and processes.
Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure alignment and successful execution.
Support automation analytics enhancements and AI-enabled planning initiatives where applicable.

Required Qualification

5 7 years of experience in FP&A Financial Planning Strategic Finance or related roles.

2 3 years of hands-on experience with Anaplan (model building maintenance or administration).
Strong expertise in:
Budgeting and forecasting processes
Financial modeling and scenario analysis
Planning system validation and testing
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
Strong analytical thinking problem-solving and communication capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Background in corporate FP&A or enterprise financial planning.
Experience supporting system implementations or finance transformation initiatives.
Exposure to AI-enabled planning tools or advanced analytics platforms.
Anaplan Model Builder certification.
