Being a Family Based Therapist at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health has its Advantages!

You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. As a Bachelors Level Family Based Therapist out of our Malvern location you will be involved in creating a focused and customized treatment plan to serve the needs of children adolescents and their families throughout Chester County PA. Our Treatment approaches revolve around the ESFT Model.

Your over all responsibilities:

  • Visit children and families within their natural setting-home/school/community.
  • Offer parents effective management skills and approaches to improve the childs well-being while the child or young adult learns skills to become successful in school follow directions at home develop and maintain positive relationships within the community and reach expected emotional social and academic achievements.
  • Complete assessments and create/monitor goals of the child.

This full time role provides a guaranteed annual salary with achievable monthly quotas to increase compensation. Company vehicles are available for travel. This position is great for individuals who enjoy working afternoon and early evening hours. Typical hours of a Family Based Therapist are 10a-6p or 11a-7p. Schedule is determined in conjunction with family needs.

Devereux Pennsylvania Childrens Services (DPACS) center serves children adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders intellectual and developmental disabilities behavioral emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF) acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP) assessment services community-based mental health services community-based employment training and social skills training and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities autism spectrum disorders concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree (preferred) in Psych Social Work Education Rehabilitation or Human Services. License preferred.

Experience: 2 years in CASSP (Child and Adolescent Service System Program) system; Proficient computer skills and a working knowledge of software programs (i.e. Microsoft word PowerPoint Excel etc).

Must maintain a valid Drivers License.
