Hou Youll Will Make An Impact:

The Planning & Allocation Analyst partners with the Planning Merchandise and DC teams to achieve the overall financial and strategic objectives of the core function consists of maintaining analyzing and reporting on allocation strategies highlighting performance drivers and opportunities that will impact top and bottom-line sales. Along with all allocations analysis and inventory management for their area of coverage.

70%: Allocations and Inventory Management

  • Executing inventory allocations through Launch Backup and New Store for each item in area of responsibility.
  • Collaboration with Business Partners to improve inventory management by optimizing constraints configurations and attributing throughout product life cycles.
  • Overseeing system forecasts and working collaboratively with Planners to align on marketing strategies growth initiatives and overall business objectives
  • Working closely with Planners and Category Managers to synchronize sales and inventory strategies ensuring timely and efficient product delivery to stores.
  • Ensure inventory is consistently balanced across stores by considering factors such as sales volume store type and individual store capacity on a weekly basis
  • Proactively collaborate with the Planning and Merchandising teams to analyze the business performance monitor in-store and DC inventory levels manage flow requirements to optimize inventory achieve sales plans maintain WOS balance and minimize stockouts
  • Partnership with Merchandise Associates DC Partners Category Managers Planners and Sr. Analyst to address and resolve inventory concerns ensuring every unit is accurately accounted for and actioned.

30%: Reporting and Analytics

  • Leverage analytics and critical thinking to develop and refine inventory strategies remain agile to course-correct and make informed data-driven decisions
  • Conduct detailed analysis of store inventory at the product level to identify over- and under- performing items/collections providing actionable suggestions for improvement.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to Planners and Buyers identifying opportunities and risks such as lost sales and exit strategies while supporting purchase decisions by recommending pack sizes buy quantities and optimal assortments
  • Participation in meetings with Allocation team Business Partners and Allocation Manager to align on corporate initiative and goals and share data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Supporting market analysis and store profiling through store visits researching and understanding the competitive landscape demographic nuances weather and seasonal anomalies and any other relevant store attributing impacts.

WED LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:

Must have:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Retail Analysis & Allocations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - ability to manipulate large data and develop professional analysis and presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills experienced in retail math concepts and a solid understanding of retail KPIs.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and independently with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities with ease and composure while continuing to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal with the ability to express ideas problems recommendations and solutions with clarity.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experienced with Inventory Smart OMNIA and Tableau are strong assets.
