This position is a temporary 18-month contract full-time role with the potential for extension at the end of the contract. There will be an occasional need for evening & weekend work. Travel is not regular but there will be projects that require field travel as needed. This position is Edmonton based and required regular in office attendance.
Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager as the Process Analyst you will be a participant in the planning implementation administration and sustainment of operational processes and related systems. You will use your knowledge of both frontline operations and business systems to analyze communicate and validate requirements for processes to ensure all operational contractual and financial reporting needs are achieved.
As a process analyst you will be working with a wide variety of stakeholders ranging anywhere from frontline staff up to executive leadership teams. The format of the meetings can include:
- Facilitating training sessions for systems process changes or new processes.
- Leading requirements gathering meetings.
- Sharing project updates with stakeholders.
- Meeting with current & potential vendors.
A key role of the process analyst is to drive projects to ensure they stay on track and are completed on time. This means regular communication with stakeholders and regular updates with project teams.
Additional tasks that form the day-to-day work of a process analyst:
- Documenting processes with tools like Word Visio etc.
- Creating training guides.
- Brainstorming on potential solutions to problems and creating a business case for them.
- Assisting operations teams with the tools & processes they use.
Qualifications :
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- University degree/college diploma in a Operations or a certificate in Business Analysis
- Or 3 to 5 years process analysis experience with usage of a broad range of business requirement techniques in a variety of project contexts.
- Adequate Level knowledge of analysis theory practice and use of techniques.
- Ability to deliver all requirement artifacts through all Phases of requirements delivery on all project sizes and complexity and ability to lead requirements delivery on large program/enterprise scale initiatives.
- Fluent in MS OFFICE 2016/365
- Familiarity with common application software (Microsoft Office Adobe products).
- Knowledge and experience process writing
- French proficiency is an asset
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities
- Keen interest in technological development and advancements
- Ability to suggest process improvements
