In collaboration with the Finance Manager the financial analyst supports strategic decision-making by conducting in-depth financial analyses preparing reports developing models and ensuring accurate cost accounting. The person in this role also contributes to performance monitoring budgeting activities and project evaluations in partnership with various operational teams.
Responsibilities
Participate in the month-end process including journal entries results review and validation of accounting data.
Analyze variances between actual results and forecasts and provide explanations and recommendations.
Monitor KPIs and produce dashboards to support internal teams.
Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly quarterly annual).
Contribute to budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
Collaborate with multiple internal teams to collect validate and standardize data.
Perform balance sheet analyses including tracking variations in key accounts.
Support year-end audit activities by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor requests.
Conduct ad hoc analyses to support business decisions.
Qualifications :
CPA member or candidate in good standing.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis accounting or a related role.
Excellent command of Excel and ability to work with various information systems.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Organizational skills autonomy and thoroughness.
Ability to collaborate with diverse teams in a dynamic environment.
Hybrid work model (approx. 80% remote) subject to change based on operational needs.
Oral and written fluency in French and English*
*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English both orally and in writing with colleagues customers and other stakeholders in Quebec the rest of Canada and internationally.
