POSITION: Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
COMPENSATION: Pursuant to Colorado regulations if this job is performed in Colorado the salary range is $130000-$145000 plus bonus potential. âEligible to participate in the company benefits plan. REPORTS TO: Corporate Controller
SUMMARY
The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is primarily responsible for overseeing Cardinal Group Companies (Company) financial analytics and forecasting platform. The Director of FP&A will help develop new processes and tools to improve the FP&A platform as well as overseeing the department on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of the Companys business activities as well as the various industries the Company operates in. Furthermore the Director of FP&A must understand best practices for aggregating and presenting information including budgets KPIs financial reports and forecasts and other data commonly associated with an FP&A platform.
In addition to the FP&A function The Director of FP&A will oversee the corporate financial reporting function. This includes completing the monthly close of the Company financial books.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):
â Oversee the Companys FP&A platform including managing all deliverables and communicating performance to Company leadership
â Manage the annual planning calendar including budget creation and reforecasts capital spend planning and reporting cadences
â Assistwithbuildingoutthebusinessintelligenceplatform
â Assess the companys current financial and operational data platform and create strategies to improve processes for capturing important data and making it available in the companys reporting and BI platforms
â Perform recurring and ad hoc analyses
â Maintain the companys performance reporting such as budget comparisons and financial forecasting including the companys real estate investment performance
â Oversee the monthly financial reporting process
QUALIFICATIONS:
â 5-10 years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance and accounting. Real estate experience preferred.
â Strong experience in implementing systems including processes and software.
â Strong working knowledge of financial reporting cash flow statements investments and organizational structures.
â Strong professional acumen including written and verbal communication.
â Advanced proficiency in Excel
â Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal Core Values every day
