Our Marine People Philippines function part of Marine People and Culture operates out of Manila and collaborates closely with Crewing teams in Copenhagen Mumbai and Singapore.

Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Marine People Philippines you will:
Lead and inspire the Recruitment and Cadet team to deliver timely compliant and high-quality crew placements.
Design and implement recruitment strategies aligned with Maersks business goals.
Build strong relationships with maritime schools manning agencies and industry stakeholders to sustain a robust talent pipeline.
Use data insights and market intelligence to enhance sourcing effectiveness and anticipate future crewing needs.
Mentor and develop team members to build a motivated high-performing workforce.
Oversee candidate assessment and selection to ensure alignment with Maersks values and competency standards.
Manage departmental budgets compliance and reporting ensuring operational excellence.
Represent Maersk in audits meetings and external engagements within the maritime community.
Drive continuous improvement across recruitment processes and candidate experience.
Were looking for
Proven track record in seafarer recruitment and talent management; sea-going experience is a plus.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Effective bilingual communication in English and Tagalog.
In-depth understanding of Philippine maritime crewing laws industry practices and global standards.
Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions.
Proficiency with modern recruitment platforms and digital sourcing tools.
Established network within the local maritime industry.
