We are looking for aSr Mangerto join our Data platform andengineeringteam to acceleratedata platformand data and telemetry missions in the F5DistributedCloud PlatformGroup.

This role plays a critical role in leading a data-centric AI-first and platform-first strategy driving the design and development of scalable data systems and observability platforms for next-generation SaaS products.

Responsibilities

Foster a human-first engineering culture by leading with empathy kindness and integrity in day-to-day interactions and decision-making.
Create an environment of psychological safety for engineers. Promote collaboration across teams and functions and align stakeholders toward shared outcomes.
Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible fordataplatformstrategybuilding scalable datasystemsand observability platforms for SaaS products.

Drive thearchitecture design and evolution of data pipelines storage and analytics

Driveobservability strategies and performance monitoring of system

Design/develop/enhance datacentric AI/Gen AI powered services

Design/develop/enhance telemetry and metrics pipeline and services

Partner with product security SRE to define platform capabilities SLAs and long-term roadmapstranslating business and product requirements into execution plans.

Mentor and grow engineers through coaching technical guidance performance management and career development.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience (12 years).Technical lead or technical management experience(7 years).

ProficiencyinCloud native andprogramminglanguages such as GORustJava Python.

Architectureandhands-onexperience in data platform anddataintelligenceproducts.

Proficiencyin data/ stream processing (e.g. KafkaPubsubDataflowVector Spark Flink) data warehouseanddatalake(e.g.ClickHouseStarRocks Elasticsearch Big Query IcebergDelta Lake) analytics and AI platform(e.g.Databricks Snowflake).

Experienceinbuildingdata platformsat scale withhighperformanceandreliability.

ExperienceusingML/AISemantic search Agentic andGenerative AItechniques in telemetry platformproductgrowthorengineering productivity.

Experienceinautomationof data system analytics pipelineacross on Prem and Cloud.

Expertisein data model schema registration and evolution and compliance in data pipelines(e.g.GDPR PII masking encryption).

Experience with logs metrics Prometheus Open TelemetryArrowdistributed tracing.

Experience with data systemobservabilitymonitoring alerting.

Experience inSaaS multi-tenancy metering & billingtelemetry.

Experience with container and orchestrationKubernetesand Microservice.

Stronganalytical troubleshooting and end to end debugging skills in data system and pipeline with extensive knowledge from networkandInfratechnologies.
