This role is fully remote/home based with significant travel around our northern region (covering Scotland North East North West down to the Derby/Nottingham area). This is a full-time position however work life balance is important to us and so we are open to discussion on flexible working patterns (minimum 4 days per week).

Salary: 38000 - 40000 p.a. bonus & mileage expenses

About the role:

The Key Account Manager plays a pivotal role in managing and growing relationships with our key trade partners (travel agents). This is a blended role with time split between desk-based relationship management planning and reporting and regular on-the-road visits training events and supporting our partner agents to confidently sell our specialist product range. Responsibilities:

  • Manage a defined portfolio of key trade accounts to achieve revenue passenger and growth targets.

  • Develop and implement account plans that strengthen relationships and maximise sales opportunities.

  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and through targeted prospecting.

  • Negotiate commercial terms marketing support and joint business plans where appropriate.

  • Provide ongoing product knowledge sales support and training to key accounts both virtually and in person.

  • Deliver engaging training sessions product updates webinars and in-branch visits.

  • Represent the business at trade events conferences fam trips and partner roadshows.

  • Act as the main point of contact for agents ensuring queries are resolved quickly and professionally.

  • Track performance sales trends and campaign activity providing regular updates and insights to the wider business.

  • Work closely with Marketing Product and Operations teams to ensure trade feedback is shared and actioned.

  • Contribute to the development of sales tools assets and incentives to support trade partners.

  • Maintain accurate records and account activity within trade database.

  • Experience in an account management trade sales or business development role within travel or tourism.

  • Strong relationship builder with excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Commercially minded results/target-driven and comfortable negotiating commercial agreements.

  • Confident delivering training in person and online.

  • Highly organised with strong planning reporting and administrative skills.

  • Comfortable working independently while being an active team player.

  • Able to travel regularly throughout the northern region (with occasional overnight stays).

  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.

  • Creative and innovative thinker.

  • Passion for specialist outdoor holidays (ski/walking) will be an advantage.
