Job Summary

We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Childrens Interim Commissioning Manager on 3-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 49.89 - 66.18 per hour

Summary:

The Childrens Interim Commissioning Manager is a strategic and operational role responsible for the end-to-end commissioning cycle and robust management of contracts across Childrens and Young Peoples Services. The post holder will ensure that services for children and families are effective efficient and high-quality while maintaining strict compliance with procurement and legal frameworks. You will play a key role in delivering the Councils Commissioning and Sufficiency Strategy focusing on preventative services and achieving the best possible outcomes for young people in Liverpool.

Responsibilities:

  • Commission a diverse range of services tailored to the needs of children young people and their families.
  • Lead the arrangement review and monitoring of contracts to ensure all delivery targets quality standards and objectives are met.
  • Ensure all services achieve value for money and align with the Councils long-term service strategy goals.
  • Utilize and promote best practice procurement methods in line with professional standards and Council policies.
  • Take ownership of long-term projects designed to innovate service delivery and improve system-wide performance.

      Qualifications:

      • A University Degree or equivalent professional qualification.

      Essentials:

      • Experience in Education commissioning (e.g. Alternative Provision) is highly advantageous.
      • Extensive experience in project management delivery financial monitoring and the performance management of third-party suppliers.
      • Experience working strategically with procurement departments and ensuring compliance with financial and contract standing orders.

      Please note:

      • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
      • You should have right to work in U.K
      • This role requires a Basic DBS
