Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am-4:00pm and overtime as needed (Day Shift)

Job Overview:

The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Regional Manager by overseeing daily operations including staff supervision training customer service inventory management and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards. This role involves managing branch activities assisting with hose assembly delivery of products performance goals maintaining operational efficiency and a positive work environment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily branch operations including opening and closing procedures ensuring the facility is clean safe and orderly.
  • Select train coach and evaluate branch staff to enhance productivity and performance.
  • Serves as a champion for Value Added Companies (VAC) vision mission and values embedding them into performance discussions and business conversations to drive alignment and ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Provide excellent customer service handle customer complaints and build positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in implementing new procedures quality initiatives training policies while ensuring goals are achieved.
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels ensure adequate stock to meet customer needs and assist with product order and delivery processes.
  • Ensure the branch operates in line with federal state and company policies and safety regulations.
  • Assist with budgets financial reports and monitoring daily activities that impact branch operations.
  • Act as a point of contact between the branch and other departments; quality sales human resources etc.
  • Ensure the delivery of products to internal and external customers.
  • Promote a sense of urgency culture and disciplined adherence to support customer quality and delivery expectations while achieving profitability targets.
  • Embrace continuous improvement and promote team member empowerment while working to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Overseeing the assembly of orders and preparing goods for shipment and recording shipment data.
  • Receive shipments and place in dedicated facility location. Prepare shipments per customer specifications. May be necessary to load and unload trucks.
  • Deliver products and restock at customer locations.
  • Data entry and database management.
  • Responsible either directly or indirectly for the procuring of materials supplies or any other items necessary for the daily operation.
  • Ability to achieve and exceed production goals.
  • Participate in training and lead by example including but not limited to quality standards safety practices individual development and compliance.
  • Follow all required safety practices and wear personal protective equipment.

  • Ability to utilize and read tape measures and digital calipers (length width thickness diameter or depth of an object or hole).
  • Good understanding of order processing and business/office documentation.

Requirements:

  • Able to use various equipment-saws crimpers forklift etc.
  • Willing to learn and follow standard practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical work instructions and documents.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 65 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.
  • Ability to apply basic math skills (add subtract multiply divide) and use tape measures and digital calipers.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to type 25 wpm.
  • 21 years of age

Education and Experience:

  • Highschool or equivalent degree.
  • Advanced business degree and/or 2 plus years industrial assembly experience is a plus.
  • 1 years in a leadership position.
  • Manufacturing knowledge (Fluid Power/Industrial Sales) is a plus.
  • Skilled in basic math skills (add subtract multiply divide) and use a tape measure.
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs (team lift).
  • Basic computer skills for data entry.
  • Ability to type 25 wpm.

Certification and/or Licenses:

  • Forklift driver certified is a plus. We will provide training.
  • Medical Examiners Certification is required for driving and reimbursed by the company.
  • Valid Drivers License Class D and a clean driving record are required. A CDL is not required.

Work Environment:

In this production facility it is essential to use vision hands fingers and arms frequently while standing for long periods of time. Additionally speaking often with coworkers and customers to troubleshoot and complete tasks. The individual will require fine motor skills using fingers to operate small tools such as a tape measure and calibration tools or other controls specific to the position. Everyone must wear required personal protective equipment which may include safety glasses gloves ear plugs shoes and other items as it pertains to the job duties. Able to see details or objects at a close range will be necessary for tasks while safely operating equipment reading product labels documents or identifying specific items.
