Description
This contract position is on-site and provides a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic environment focused on delivering exceptional care to our smallest patients.
As a Locum NP or PA you will play a critical role in the neonatal unit collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care for newborns and their families. You will be involved in assessing patient needs providing treatment and contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of neonate patients
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide clinical support and perform procedures as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure quality care
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans
- Educate families about neonatal care and health management
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to clinical discussions
Requirements
- Current NP or PA licensure in the state of Florida
- Associate degree in Nursing or a related field for NPs; relevant PA program for PAs
- Experience in a neonatal or pediatric setting is preferred
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of neonatal care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
Level IV NICU
Schedule: 7a-8p or 7p-8a
No call requirement
Patient Volume: 8-12 per shift
Routine procedures required
Support Staff: Neonatologists APPs
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
