About the role

As the Lead Creative Strategy you will guide a talented creative team in bringing the stories of NSW public education to life through impactful visuals sound and storytelling.

You will lead the planning production and delivery of high-quality multimedia content including video podcast photography and graphics production that showcases our people programs and purpose. Working closely with the Teacher Attraction Initiatives team and a wide range of stakeholders you will ensure all creative outputs align with strategic objectives and support teacher attraction initiatives and campaigns designed to attract passionate high-quality teachers to the profession.

In this role you will balance long-term strategic direction with day-to-day oversight and delivery ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard on time and on message. You will monitor workflows set priorities and support staff to meet deadlines while driving innovation and continuous improvement in creative practice production processes and visual storytelling. You will also oversee the delivery of the Teach NSW Podcast ensuring technical and creative excellence across all episodes from pre-production to final delivery.

As a collaborative and future-focused leader you will guide your team to think creatively work strategically and produce content that engages informs and inspires. Your leadership will play a vital role in shaping the visual identity of the Teach NSW brand helping place great educators in classrooms and influence the future learning of children across NSW.

About you

  • Experience in leading and supporting a dynamic team of creative specialists to achieve business outcomes.
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to multitask competing and conflicting priorities and demands in a changing environment.
  • Committed to building and maintaining rapport with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in managing and contributing to the development coordination delivery and evaluation of brandcompliant video and multimedia content with a demonstrated ability to provide advice on video and multimedia production storage and archiving processes and systems.
  • Be adept at developing contemporary video and multimedia briefings standards and guidelines in collaboration with stakeholders ensuring consistency in content delivery while staying across government obligations emerging issues risks and opportunities to provide timely and relevant advice.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record in driving and evaluating project program and creative performance outcomes contributing to departmental strategy through effective analysis that supports dynamic decisionmaking and identifies opportunities for innovation.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in videography multimedia design or other related discipline.
  • Proficiency in using various software tools including Adobe Premiere Pro (25.5 onwards) Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign After Effects Photoshop Rush Audition) and equipment to create and manipulate rich media content including still images videos and audio files.
  • Experience filming and editing captured video for internal and external communication as well as marketing purposes.
  • Extensive knowledge of video and audio recording equipment including cameras (Canon C300 Canon C70 and Canon 5D Mark IV) managing storage devices microphones tripods lights podcast equipment and other related devices. Ability to use DJI Mavic preferred.
