About the department

You will be joining our Finance and Procurement Global Business Services (GBS) team in Bangalore. Established in 2007 Finance and Procurement GBS supports various finance functions for Novo Nordisk globally. As part of this role you will be part of our Corporate Procurement team which is responsible for the global indirect spend in Novo Nordisk of app. 90 billion DKK and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy. With 180 employees based in Denmark 300 employees in India and globally 500 people working in procurement we are a strategic partner to the execution of the companys strategy.

The position

As Associate Director Operations Excellence S2P you will:

• Lead operations excellence initiatives ensuring high-quality service delivery within agreed timelines and standards.
• Were looking for a hands-on leader who will deliver output both through the team and by own self (without delegation). A variety of tasks must be handled independently and often in parallel. Consequently profound understanding of the business and local rules is required.
• Align priorities and strategies within Corporate Procurement to achieve business objectives and drive process improvements.
• Implement standardized processes and proactively resolve issues while anticipating customer needs and providing solutions.
• Drive innovation through digital tools automation and AI to enhance operational efficiency and global alignment.
• Develop and engage teams through coaching goal setting and succession planning fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate who can tick off most of the following:

Bachelors/Masters Degree in Finance/Business Administration International Business IT Administration or alike from a top-tier university.

• Minimum 10-15 years in leadership roles focused on Operations and Process Excellence and running and managing users facing workflows and solutions through shared services setup within a multinational corporation with experience leading teams directly and through in defining global process standards and designing solutions to deliver them is a key advantage
• Knowledge and experience using the latest tech and workflows; Proven track record of taking Operational excellence to the next level and utilizing the latest technological solutions including AI; Experience in leading design testing and implementation of an AP workflow is a must-have
• Hands on experience in running and managing S2P or I2P operations with proven track record of delivering significant KPI jumps by modifying processes and taking non-value-added work out.
• Expertise in the I2P process and significant knowledge of other S2P processes are key enablers.
