Job Summary

The Business Manager drives safety service people regulatory customer and financial performance while managing terminal support teams and championing continuous improvement. With strong airline customer engagement and a focus on operational excellence the Business Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering high quality efficient service across Domestic and International Freight operations.
Youll have:
- Strong analytical and solutions focused approach delivering results within required timeframes including managing noncompliance matters.
- Working knowledge and practical experience in IR processes including consultation and negotiation with union representatives.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a matrix management environment with strong consultation negotiation influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Proven project management experience
- Proven customer and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Experience leading and implementing change initiatives.
- Experience with Qantas support groups (GSE Property Security)
- Knowledge and experience dealing with Govt regulatory organisations (ABF CASA DAFF AFP)
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that support business objectives.
- Sound judgement with the ability to balance customer needs with business priorities.
- Proficiency in standard business software and systems.
- Previous airline or freight industry experience (desirable).
- High level communication skills with the ability to influence and gain cooperation.
- Must hold an ASIC and have the ability to hold an airside drivers licence.
