Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field.

46 years of payroll experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.

Strong knowledge of federal state and local payroll regulations including California labor laws.

Experience in manufacturing or aerospace industry strongly preferred.

Proficiency with major payroll systems (e.g. ADP Workforce Now Workday or Paycom).

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department coordination.

Ability to manage high-volume multi-state payrolls and meet strict deadlines.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credential preferred.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

The Payroll Supervisor oversees the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role works closely with HR Finance and Operations to ensure compliance improve efficiency and maintain employee satisfaction.

Supervise daily payroll operations and staff performance.

Review and approve bi-weekly payroll runs for accuracy and compliance.

Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure proper general ledger postings.

Coordinate with HR on employee changes benefits and timekeeping issues.

Audit timecards deductions and expense reimbursements for accuracy.

Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws union contracts and company policy.

Prepare payroll reports and support internal/external audits.

Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
