Amazon MGM Studios is seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to lead and drive innovative marketing strategies for our theatrical releases for Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Head of Theatrical Marketing (Australia NZ & Asia) this role combines strategic leadership with deep analytical expertise to develop comprehensive campaigns that maximise audience engagement and box office performance.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning
Lead strategic planning and execution across multiple high-profile theatrical releases
Develop territory-wide marketing strategies and long-term activation roadmaps aligned with global objectives
Own budget planning and management across multiple high-profile campaigns
Conduct advanced market analysis competitive intelligence and audience insights to inform strategic decisions
Establish campaign KPIs and success metrics in partnership with senior leadership
Drive innovation in audience engagement methodologies and emerging marketing technologies
Mentor and guide junior marketing managers on strategic thinking and campaign development
Creative Direction & Brand Management
Provide creative leadership across all marketing assets and brand touchpoints
Oversee localisation strategies and coordinate with global International teams
Ensure brand consistency and creative excellence across multiple concurrent campaigns
Lead relationships with creative partners and agencies
Approve and guide creative direction for high-stakes marketing initiatives to serve territory requirements
Media Strategy & Partnership Development
Develop comprehensive media strategies spanning traditional digital and emerging platforms
Lead negotiations and strategic partnerships with key media agencies and platforms
Cultivate and manage high-value brand partnerships and co-marketing opportunities
Collaborate with International Media leadership on global best practices and innovation
Optimize media spend efficiency across portfolio of campaigns
Experiential Marketing & Events
Conceptualize and execute large-scale special projects premieres screenings and marquee events
Manage complex stakeholder relationships across multiple external agencies
Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Development
Lead cross-functional initiatives including Content Managers PR Digital and International partners
Provide strategic guidance to distribution teams on theatrical positioning
Drive organisational alignment on campaign priorities and resource allocation
Mentor junior team members and contribute to team capability development
Champion creative excellence and innovative problem-solving across the organisation

- 10 years of progressive experience in theatrical marketing or high-profile content marketing within the entertainment industry
- Experience leading complex marketing campaigns
- Experience in integrated marketing across traditional digital and experiential channels
- Leadership experience with direct or matrix management of marketing professionals
- Stakeholder management experience across internal leadership and external partner experience
- Experience with international marketing coordination and localization strategies
- Exceptional strategic thinking analytical and presentation capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Proven track record of innovation in marketing technology and emerging platforms
- Strong financial acumen with P&L responsibility experience
- Bachelors degree in marketing business or related field
