Reporting to the Program Director you will join a passionate academic team committed to delivering an exceptional industry-connected learning experience for students. We are currently recruiting a Senior Learning Facilitator (Senior Lecturer) specialising in Hotel and Service Management based at our Surry Hills Campus in Sydney.
This role will primarily teach into the Master of International Hotel Management (MIHM) and the Bachelor of Business (International Hotel and Resort Management) supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes industry readiness and long-term career success.
This is a permanent full-time campus-based role with a strong teaching focus complemented by academic leadership mentoring and scholarship responsibilities.

The Senior Learning Facilitator / Senior Lecturer is responsible for preparing delivering and assessing allocated subjects ensuring students are provided with the best opportunity to attain learning outcomes and satisfactorily complete their assessments.
In addition to teaching this role contributes to academic quality course review moderation and validation activities and provides student support outside of scheduled class time. A key component of this role is academic leadership including mentoring and supporting more junior academic staff and contributing to program-level initiatives.
Deliver high-quality face-to-face and online teaching across Hospitality Management subjects.
Prepare review and update teaching materials in line with subject outlines quality standards and industry relevance.
Apply student-centred and industry-informed teaching practices that support engagement and employability.
Monitor student attendance participation and academic progress.
Identify students at risk and make appropriate referrals to Program Directors Success Coaches and academic support teams.
Design mark and moderate assessments and examinations in line with policy and regulatory requirements.
Provide timely high-quality feedback to support student learning.
Determine and submit final results within required timeframes.
Participate in validation moderation and course review activities.
Mentor and support junior academic staff.
Contribute to campus coordination and academic leadership activities.
Lead or participate in academic projects innovation initiatives or program improvements.
Support the Program Director with projects and ad hoc initiatives as required.
Contribute to research and scholarship aligned to hospitality tourism or service management disciplines.
Maintain professional and academic currency through ongoing scholarship and development.
Engage with hospitality industry partners and professional bodies to inform curriculum and student outcomes.
Doctoral qualification in Hotel Management Tourism Hospitality or Business Management.
Experience teaching in the higher education sector.
Experience teaching research methods is highly regarded.
Appropriately qualified to teach at least one AQF level higher than the course being delivered (or approved equivalency).
Strong discipline expertise in hospitality and service management.
Passion for student engagement and teaching excellence.
Demonstrated experience coaching mentoring or leading academic staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within academic and professional teams.
Strong understanding of TEQSA ESOS and the National Code 2018.
