Job Duties

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) is seeking students who are interested in a work-based learning experience through a paid summer internship. If you are a student who is currently majoring in business administration communications data analytics/health informatics healthcare policy and administration human resources management psychology or social work and interested in a future career in behavioral health this internship opportunity is for you! This internship is an in-person or hybrid experience located in the Richmond area. We have internships available in the following departments/divisions:

Division of Facility Services - Patient Clinical Services
Office of Child and Family Services
Office of Communications - Division of Policy and Public Affairs
Office of Data Analytics and Visualization
Office of Developmental Services - Waiver Services
Office of Human Resources
Office of Management Services

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to use independent judgment to plan and accomplish tasks.
Strong organizational skills.
