This is a remote position.
Our client a prominent global healthcare organization is seeking a Source-to-Pay (STP) Master Data Business Process Analyst to ensure the integrity compliance and efficiency of supplier and purchasing master this role you will design standardize and optimize master data processes focusing on governance continuous improvement and risk mitigation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality automate workflows and support transformation initiatives. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with expertise in master data management and a passion for driving operational excellence.
This is a contractual role which will run through 2026. The candidate must be flexible to work in the clients preferred time-zone which may include EST or CEST.
The Role
- Master Data Governance and Standards:
- Develop and maintain global standards policies and business rules for supplier and purchasing master data
- Ensure alignment with compliance legal tax finance and procurement requirements
- Update and maintain process documentation workflows and data governance guidelines
- Lead efforts to harmonize master data fields taxonomies and classification structures
- Process Analysis and Optimization:
- Analyze end-to-end vendor master data processes to identify gaps inefficiencies and risks
- Implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy timeliness and reliability
- Benchmark processes against industry best practices and propose optimization strategies
- Investigate root causes of data quality issues and lead remediation initiatives
- Compliance Controls and Risk Management:
- Strengthen controls around bank details supplier onboarding and sensitive data
- Partner with Compliance Internal Controls and Accounts Payable to ensure adherence to audit requirements
- Monitor compliance and address deviations or potential control failures
- Support remediation activities from audits or risk assessments
- Technology Systems and Automation Support:
- Collaborate with IT and system owners to enhance vendor master data functionality in ERP and procurement systems
- Support system upgrades data migrations integrations and testing
- Identify automation opportunities and contribute to implementation
- Embed data governance principles in technology design
- Transformation and Project Support:
- Contribute to STP transformation initiatives including supplier onboarding modernization and data quality programs
- Support project activities such as requirements gathering design workshops testing and rollout
- Track and report benefits of master data improvements (efficiency quality compliance)
Requirements
- 4-7 years of experience in Source-to-Pay (STP) vendor master data management supplier onboarding or procurement operations
- Strong understanding of master data governance internal controls and compliance frameworks
- Knowledge of supplier master data structures taxonomy onboarding processes and risk controls
- Familiarity with STP processes and cross-functional touchpoints (Procurement AP Finance)
- Ability to identify automation or digitalization opportunities and contribute to technical design discussions
- Proficiency in data analysis reporting tools and root cause analysis
- Experience with global ERP platforms (SAP Ariba) and master data management tools (e.g. SAP MDG)
- Prior involvement in transformation process improvement or system enhancement projects
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a structured approach
- Excellent communication skills able to translate technical details into business language
- High attention to detail data accuracy and quality mindset
- Ability to drive process improvement initiatives independently
- Experience working in global or complex organizational environments
- Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced English proficiency; additional languages are an advantage
- Experience in change management training or process governance
