Job Summary
Information About the role:
We are seeking a data analyst to join the digital data services team. As a data analyst you will play a crucial role in turning complex data into actionable insights for the Surplus & Specialty Team by developing dashboards/reports via Business Intelligence tools (such as Tableau and SSRS). The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis relational databases and Tableau.
What you will do:
1. Developing maintaining and managing advanced reporting analytics dashboards and other BI solutions.
2. Performing and documenting data analysis data validation and data mapping/design.
3. Working with the other Digital teams to help provide reporting and analytical solutions to new systems and portals as they are developed
4. Working with our databases both on prem and in the cloud by developing queries views tables etc to facilitate data solutions
5. Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.
6. Creating tools to store data within the organization.
7. Communicating with all levels of the organization to design and develop BI solutions
8. Utilize JIRA to track and manage the progress of tasks ensuring timely completion and adherence to weekly sprints.
What you will bring:
1. Bachelors Degree in mathematics computer science information systems or related field.
2. At least 2 years of experience in developing maintaining and managing Tableau dashboards and working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture.
3. At least 2 years of extensive work experience with relational databases (SQL Server PostgreSQL DB2 etc.)
4. Knowledge of efficiency techniques when building queries and developing reports/dashboards
5. Experience in developing maintaining and managing SSRS Reports
6. Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey data insights and collaborate with stakeholders
Preferred skillset:
- Insurance industry knowledge
- Snowflake experience
Nice to Haves:
Experience with data manipulation tools (e.g. Python R)

Requirements Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Business or other related scientific or technical discipline. Masters Degree preferred. At least 4 years experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs. At least 5 years experience in Service Oriented Architecture/Service integration with Web Services REST and security integration. Skills / Experience / Responsibilities Design develop and implement complex solutions based on Framework 4.5 using C# and . Will work with internal stakeholders to learn the business processes operating systems and application architectures in order to ensure that solutions fit the current or proposed architectural environment. Translate applications requirements into web-based solutions using the recommended frameworks and technology. Design and develop reusable components accelerators and frameworks. Assist in the system integration of components. Implement Test Driven Development frameworks (NUnit xUnit etc.). Implement Design Pattern (Singleton Factory and MVC). Implement Data Structures. Assist in translating customer service marketing & financial business function needs into digitization and automation of technical solutions aligned with organizational goals and strategies. Be a strong team player and effectively participate in projects and daily operational activities
