We seek a strategic experienced and tenacious salesperson interested in joining an established and growing team to develop reseller sales channels and sell direct to major accounts in an industrial setting. Qualifying candidates must have successfully demonstrated the ability to apply the sales process from prospecting to close and after-sale account development. This combined with a proven ability to be a leader within a sales team identifies our ideal candidate.
A successful Business Development Representative (BDR) in this role will have a strong ability to efficiently allocate time to accomplish two different selling one segment they will prospect new customers in the industrial market uncover needs and present appropriate solutions. This market includes OEMs distributors and machine shops. The ability to build long-term buying relationships with distribution networks and resellers will be key to success for this segment. This role will have a blend of 70% prospecting/hunting and 30% organic growth emphasis from existing customer communications.
Key Objectives:
- Development: Demonstrated ability to develop selling partners (distributors and dealers) through building partnerships and business relationships.
- Team Player: Excellent time management skills and ability to work well with all areas of the company with demonstrated success managing multiple and varied projects simultaneously.
- Growth/Prospecting: Develop a pipeline of candidates and a territory plan with growth targets of 10% or better resulting in one new user per month.
- Long-Term Relationship Development: Create a regional strategy for maintaining and growing existing relationships to ensure consistent future business.
- Margin/Price Preservation: Demonstrated success selling value while preserving profit margins.
- Sales Objectives: Exceed annual sales objectives as outlined in the commission plan.
- Conduct professional and effective onsite and virtual sales calls to secure new accounts.
- Utilize CRM tools to track and manage contacts and prospects.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a bachelors degree in sales marketing or a related field along with 3 years of proven success selling into industrial OEM and/or manufacturing sectors or equivalent education and experience. Experience selling direct to major accounts developing sales strategies managing distribution network sales channels and territory planning is preferred. Proficient computer skills experience creating sales plans and managing prospects using CRM tools are required.
