Job Summary

Technical Sales Manager Capital Equipment (SF 196)

Were seeking a Technical Sales Manager Capital Equipment (Recycling) to lead business development efforts in the Recycling market for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The main customers include scrap dealers steel mills and aluminum mills. This position reports to the North America Sales Area Manager and the Recycling Business Unit Management focusing on driving sales growth expanding market presence and delivering customer-focused technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets in the assigned North American territory.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships understanding operational needs to provide effective solutions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market analysis and competitor benchmarking.
  • Promote recycling equipment solutions such as shredders pre-shredders shears and balers ensuring alignment with market demand.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries via email phone and in-person visits.
  • Prepare accurate visit reports and maintain regular communication with leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal teams-engineering marketing and product development-to support customized proposals.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals that meet customer and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain and update the customer database to ensure pipeline accuracy and visibility.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with capital equipment or recycling machinery (preferably for ferrous and non-ferrous applications).
  • Strong technical understanding and existing network within the North American recycling industry.
  • Proven sales success in high-value capital equipment markets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint).
  • Excellent technical communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational problem-solving and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada with occasional global travel.
