PRODUCT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION – MERCHANT ACQUIRING DOMAIN
We are seeking hands-on Product Managers with strong Payment's expertise in the Merchant Acquiring (Payment Acceptance Merchant Billing & Servicing) domain—who can independently discover define and deliver product value. This role requires ownership from discovery through delivery (PDLC) proactive backlog creation and prioritization (not order-taking) and close collaboration with onsite Product Managers engineering design and QA.
Product Management Skills – Must Have
.
Strong PDLC ownership from discovery through delivery and adoption.
.
Ability to elaborate features into epics and stories; document functional & non-functional requirements.
.
Customer advocacy: converting insights into valuable usable product increments.
.
Backlog management: prioritization roadmap sequencing and scope management.
.
Metrics-driven mindset: define/track KPIs instrument analytics and run A/B or iterative experiments.
.
Cross-functional leadership with Engineering QA Design and Business; navigate a matrixed environment.
.
Sprint ceremonies facilitation: Reviews Refinements; crisp demos & decision-driving stakeholder communication.
.
Requirement elicitation: stakeholder interviews workshops shadowing process mapping.
.
Translate business goals into clear testable specifications.
.
Partner with Design on personas and journeys; partner with Engineering on feasibility and sequencing.
.
Maintain high-quality documentation and traceability from requirements to test artifacts.
Merchant Acquiring Domain – Must Have
Candidates should understand the full lifecycle of merchant acquiring—from onboarding to settlement—with practical exposure to one or more of the following:

Merchant Onboarding Underwriting & Servicing
.
Payment Acceptance & Processing
.
Pricing Merchant Billing & Financial Operations
.
Risk Fraud & Disputes
.
Chargebacks (Lifecycle: retrieval → representment → pre-arb → arbitration) evidence packs dispute SLAs.
.
Should have exposure to Acquirer processors card networks (Visa/Mastercard/Amex) terminals & TMS gateway integrations ISO8583 dispute tooling and merchant billing engines.
Tools & Practices
.
Jira (work management boards backlog releases) Confluence (documentation decision logs).
.
Gherkin/BDD (writing acceptance criteria with Given–When–Then; aligning BA Dev QA).
.
Awareness of Playwright for E2E test automation and collaboration with QA on test coverage and acceptance.
.
Agile/Scrum; familiarity with backlog grooming/refinement epics/stories and DoR/DoD.
Professional Skills

Proactive self-starter; excellent at prioritizing tasks vs. time in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
