As Manager Product Analytics youll lead the analytics function for Headouts Product org. This isnt about dashboards and reports; its about building product intelligence that compounds into competitive advantage.
Youll define the metrics that matter build the experimentation muscle and ensure product decisions are grounded in customer understanding. Youll partner with Product Design and Engineering leadership to shape what we build not just measure what we shipped.
Youll also build and lead a team of product analysts who operate like owners: sharp on metrics strong on problem framing and measured by the outcomes they enable not the analyses they deliver.
What makes this role special
- Build Product Intelligence Not Just Measurement: Youll define the metrics frameworks and experimentation systems that make Headouts product smarter over time. Your work shapes the intelligence layer not just the reporting layer.
- Thought Partner Not Report Generator: Youll work directly with Product leadership to answer what should we build next not just what happened Youll bring clarity on customer behaviour funnel bottlenecks and where the highest-leverage opportunities are. When the product roadmap is debated your perspective will be in the room.
- Shape the Experimentation Engine: Youll raise the bar on how we run experiments; hypothesis quality statistical rigor guardrails and decision-making. Youll help teams move fast without making noisy or misleading calls. Experimentation becomes a capability not a bottleneck.
- Build a Team of Owners: Youll hire mentor and develop product analysts who own problem domains not task queues. Analysts who can frame problems define success and drive adoption not just write SQL and hand off slides.
- Drive Outcomes That Compound: Your work will directly improve conversion retention and LTV. But more importantly it will build systems that keep improving: ranking models that learn retention frameworks that clarify priorities recommendations that get smarter. The advantage compounds.
What skills & experience do you need
- 6-10 years in product analytics with at least 2 years leading or mentoring record of defining metrics that teams actually use to make decisions.
- Strong problem framing: you can translate ambiguous questions into testable hypotheses and clear measurement plans.
- Experimentation expertise: youve run A/B tests end-to-end understand statistical pitfalls and know when experiments are needed and when theyre not
- Full-funnel fluency: acquisition activation conversion retention. You can diagnose drop-offs interpret cohort behaviour and identify segmentation insights
- Advanced SQL; comfortable with Python/R for analysis and statistics
