Position Description:
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 3 days per week - subject to change at any time.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead and Analytics professional with strong expertise in data extraction transformation and analysis within financial services. This role requires hands-on technical skills leadership experience and the ability to manage complex data dependencies across multiple systems.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Interpretation
Interpret large complex datasets covering multiple lines of business.
Clean normalize and transform data using statistical techniques to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Provide ongoing reports and actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Data Extraction & Manipulation
Extract data from 1015 tables using advanced SQL joins and deliver comprehensive analysis.
Perform hands-on data manipulation and transformation for analytics and reporting.
ETL Development & Integration
Design and implement ETL processes for data movement and integration across systems.
Ensure smooth integration between legacy platforms and modern data solutions.
Data Governance & Compliance
Manage dependencies across multiple systems and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Experience in managing regulatory data projects is considered an asset.
Leadership & Collaboration
Work closely with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision-making.
Provide technical guidance and leadership in technology delivery projects.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Experience
812 years in technology delivery or engineering leadership roles within financial services.
Extensive experience in ETL processes and expert-level SQL coding.
Technical Expertise
Strong ability to extract manipulate and analyze large datasets.
Proficiency in data normalization statistical techniques and reporting.
Deep understanding of data integration across multiple systems.
Certifications (Preferred)
AWS Certification
Scrum Master or SAFe Certification
Additional Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95000$145000. This role is an existing vacancy.
