An inclusive and forward-thinking primary school in the London Borough of Hillingdon is seeking a caring and committed EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs within its Early Years provision.

The Early Years team works collaboratively to create a nurturing structured and engaging environment where children feel safe and valued.
The school has a proactive SENCo supportive leadership team and strong links with external professionals to ensure pupils receive high-quality joined-up support.
You will be supporting children in Nursery or Reception who require additional help to access learning and develop socially emotionally and academically. Many of the children supported in this role have EHCPs or are in the early stages of assessment.
Your work will focus on helping children develop:
Communication and language skills
Social interaction and play skills
Emotional regulation and confidence
Independence and self-care
You will work closely with the class teacher to adapt activities and routines to meet individual needs.
Deliver 1:1 and small-group SEN support
Implement strategies and interventions set by the SENCo and external specialists
Support children during play learning activities and transitions
Use visual timetables now-and-next boards and sensory resources
Promote positive behaviour and inclusion
Support with personal care and toileting where necessary
Observe and record progress and contribute to review meetings
Maintain safeguarding and child protection standards
We are seeking someone who:
Has experience working with children with SEN ideally in EYFS
Is calm resilient and emotionally attuned to young children
Has a genuine passion for inclusion and early childhood development
Can work effectively as part of a team
Is reliable reflective and eager to develop professionally
Training or experience in autism support speech and language needs or early years education is highly desirable.
