Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate enthusiastic and experienced EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Reading starting as soon as possible. As an EYFS Teacher you will plan deliver and assess lessons and activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will nurture childrens development across all areas including literacy numeracy communication social and emotional skills while providing individualised support for those who need it. Collaboration with teaching assistants and strong communication with parents is essential to ensure each child reaches their potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan deliver and assess high-quality EYFS lessons and activities

  • Support childrens social emotional and academic development

  • Promote early communication language literacy and numeracy skills

  • Create a safe stimulating and inclusive learning environment

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children including SEND and EAL

  • Foster independence confidence and positive behaviour

  • Observe monitor and record childrens progress accurately

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and EYFS colleagues

  • Build strong positive relationships with parents and carers

  • Maintain learning journals and assessment records

  • Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives

  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent EYFS qualification

  • Have experience teaching Nursery or Reception

  • Be nurturing patient and enthusiastic

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management

  • Understand the EYFS framework and child development principles

  • Be reflective proactive and adaptable

  • Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
