We are seeking a caring enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chatham starting as soon as possible. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will work closely with the class teacher to support children across the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will assist with delivering engaging lessons supporting children individually and in small groups and helping create a positive structured learning environment that encourages independence curiosity and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality EYFS lessons and activities
Assist children in developing social emotional and academic skills
Provide individual and small group support where needed
Promote early communication language literacy and numeracy skills
Encourage positive behaviour independence and confidence
Observe and contribute to assessments of childrens progress
Help maintain a safe stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Support daily routines transitions and personal care as required
Build strong positive relationships with children parents and staff
Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times

Have experience working in an EYFS or early years setting

Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework
