We are seeking a dedicated patient and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive primary school in Romford starting as soon as possible. This role is perfect for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs helping them access learning and thrive academically socially and emotionally.

The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will work alongside class teachers and the SENCo to provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs. Your responsibilities may include one-to-one or small group support assisting pupils within lessons and helping them develop independence confidence and positive learning behaviours.
You will observe monitor and record pupil progress provide feedback to teachers and help implement interventions to support each childs learning and wellbeing. Close collaboration with colleagues parents and external professionals is essential to ensure pupils receive the best possible support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
Assist in delivering personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
Support pupils academically socially and emotionally
Promote positive behaviour confidence and independence
Help pupils access lessons and remain engaged
Observe monitor and record pupil progress accurately
Work collaboratively with teachers SENCo and support staff
Liaise with parents carers and external professionals when required
Maintain a safe structured and inclusive learning environment
Participate in staff meetings training and CPD sessions
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
