We are seeking a caring enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Leicester starting as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young children in their first stage of formal education and helping them develop essential skills for lifelong learning.

The Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of children in Nursery and Reception. You will assist with delivering engaging lessons supporting children individually and in small groups and creating a positive structured learning environment that encourages independence curiosity and confidence.
You will observe and monitor childrens progress contribute to assessments and help implement interventions to meet individual learning needs. Collaboration with colleagues and communication with parents is essential to ensure each child receives personalised support and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality EYFS lessons and activities
Assist children in developing social emotional and academic skills
Provide individual and small group support as needed
Promote early communication language literacy and numeracy skills
Encourage positive behaviour independence and confidence
Observe and contribute to assessments of childrens progress
Help maintain a safe stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Support daily routines transitions and personal care as required
Build strong positive relationships with children parents and staff
Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
