Job Description

Essential Functions

• Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence Accountability Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders customers students and members of the community.

• Develop curriculum for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education apprenticeships contract and industrial training and other special training projects as well as international programs.

• Deliver instruction for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education apprenticeships contract and industrial training and other special training projects as well as international programs.

• Complete documentation including grades etc. as required by the supervisor.

• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills

• Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the State of Texas required and in good standing with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE).

• Additional certificationssuch as Radiology Infection Control Nitrous Oxide Monitoring or Sealant Applicationare preferred.

• Three years related experience relevant to subject needs.

• Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in Dental Assisting including chairside assisting dental radiography infection control sterilization procedures dental materials four-handed dentistry patient communication and clinical workflow. Additional expertise in related healthcare or technical areassuch as medical terminology anatomy and physiology phlebotomy safety and compliance electronic health records sterilization systems or other specialized skill setsmay also be considered as appropriate based on client demand and program needs.

• This job description covers a position in which the percentage of time spent on the essential functions will vary based on the workload and will ultimately be determined by the supervisor.
