Job Summary
The DBA is responsible for the installation configuration maintenance and performance of database systems to ensure high availability and security. This role involves managing data integrity optimizing queries and supporting development teams with database-related tasks.
Database Management
- Install configure and upgrade database servers (SQL Server Oracle MySQL etc.).
- Create and manage database objects (tables indexes views stored procedures).
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
- Backup & Recovery
- Develop and maintain backup strategies.
- Perform disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Ensure data integrity and availability.
- Security & Compliance
- Implement database security policies (roles permissions encryption).
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR HIPAA etc.).
- Performance Optimization
- Analyze query performance and optimize SQL statements.
- Manage indexing strategies and partitioning.
