Reports To: IT Manager

Schedule: Monday Friday 8:30 am 5:00 pm (Weekends and evenings as needed)

FLSA Status: Exempt


Summary: The IT Network Administrator will report to the IT Manager and will be responsible for monitoring maintaining and improving IT Network infrastructure capability and functionality maintaining the security of the network by implementing policies and auditing network devices. This position will also be responsible for all network equipment implementation and updates as well as developing training for users on network security.

Requirements

Position Responsibilities:

  • *Provide hands-on troubleshooting support to end users for network issues.
  • *Responsible for the administration monitoring and supporting of the Routers Switches Access Points Firewalls and VPN for the Pastoral Ministry Center and its external agencies supported by the IT Office of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
  • *Perform periodic audits to the Network analyze results and make changes if needed in order to increase the security and performance of the network.
  • *Perform Cloud Networking configuration with Cloud web-based solutions (i.e. MS Azure)
  • *Create Backup configuration periodically for all Network Devices.
  • *Responsible for the administration monitoring and supporting of the email filtering system for the Pastoral Ministry Center and its external agencies supported by the IT Office of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
  • * Monitor organization network including but not limited to Office 365 Firewall cloud infrastructure for unauthorized access and respond as needed.
  • *Analyze research recommend and plan changes related to new implementations and upgrades to the Network.
  • *Responsible for the administration monitoring and supporting of the Security Awareness Training.
  • Make recommendations based on changing Network security postures and threats.
  • Overseeing 3rd party connections and working directly with vendors and MSPs.
  • Assist in the development of Network / IT security policies and procedures and maintaining documentation.
  • Collaborate with other IT Team members.
  • Assist in and be involved in all short-term and long-term planning including scheduling budgeting and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Managing monitoring and reporting KPIs (Key Process Indicators) for the Antivirus solution.
  • Keep records of all end users requests.
  • Support the System Technician with Server OS VMWare and Active Directory administration as needed.
  • Responsible for the administration of the Phone System and Fax.
  • Standardization and documentation of duties and continues improvement.
  • Periodically report project status incidents to the management team and other team members.
  • Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self others.
  • Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information services rendered to clients donors names and gifts internal and external investigations or results of any investigations and financial information.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in managing auditing and supporting Network infrastructure such LAN WLAN and Firewalls.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience managing and supporting VPN configuration
  • Minimum of 3 years experience administrating IP Phone system.

License and Credentials:

  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver license
  • Valid vehicle insurance
  • CCNA certification preferred.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive working knowledge on Cisco or similar enterprise/commercial network devices
  • Extensive working knowledge on commercial Wireless Access Points and Firewall configuration.
  • Extensive Working knowledge on VPN configuration.
  • Working knowledge of Cyber Security best practices.
  • Working knowledge of configuring Email Filtering systems.
  • Working experience of successful MFA implementations.
  • Working administrative knowledge of MS Azure / O365 infrastructure
  • Must be detail oriented organized self-motivated work well independently and on a team.
  • Must have good written and verbal skills.
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Travel Requirements: Travel requirements for the position includes 15 % local in San Antonio Area.
