Job Summary:
The State of South Carolinas Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking an Intermediate Network Technician to augment their IT staff and assist with remediations and overall network improvements. This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension. The Network Technician will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the network infrastructure troubleshooting issues and ensuring network stability. The role requires a valid drivers license and the ability to travel throughout South Carolina.
Location:Columbia South Carolina United StatesnWashington District of Columbia United States
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot network issues and outages.
- Respond to critical site network outages during on-call rotation.
- Travel to various locations within South Carolina to address network needs.
- Assist with network remediations and improvements.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Valid Drivers License
- Must be a current South Carolina resident.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Special Considerations:
- Role is fully onsite.
- Candidate must be a current SC resident; no relocation allowed.
- On-call rotation every 3 weeks to respond to critical sites for network outages.
- Travel throughout the State of South Carolina is required but will never exceed a business day unless otherwise agreed upon and scheduled in advance.
Scheduling:
- 40 hours per week.
- Standard business hours.
