Bachelor of Arts in Social Work Program (BASW)
Position: Field Education Director
Touro University Worldwide (TUW) is seeking a full-time Field Education Director for its online Bachelor of Arts in Social Work Program based at our Los Alamitos CA location. The Field Education Director reports directly to the BASW Program Director and the Provost.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
- Provide leadership through practice and field instruction experience.
- Oversee all field education requirements in full compliance with CSWE WSCUC NASW and other applicable agencies.
- Collaborate with the Program Director to approve maintain and mentor students in practicum placement sites.
- Assist practicum site supervisors in understanding and adhering to university standards and requirements.
- Review practicum site documentation to ensure compliance with program mandates.
- Engage effectively with an academically and culturally diverse student population.
- Attend monthly Academic Council meetings and faculty meetings as applicable.
- Participate in CSWE workshops and other accreditation-related events.
- Teach at least one program core course and one practice/practicum course set.
- Provide timely responses and grading for students.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program (Doctorate preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years post-masters social work practice experience.
- At least 2 years of online teaching experience in higher education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong professional communication skills (oral and written) and basic math skills.

- Ability to integrate TUW values in all aspects of work.
- Strong critical thinking and independent judgment skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
- Ability to guide students using the NASW Code of Ethics and CSWE core competencies and practice behaviors.
