    QUALIFICATIONS
    1. High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of two years of post-secondary education
    2. Experience in K-12 public education preferred
    3. Relevant IT certifications from Microsoft Cisco CompTIA ITIL etc. preferred
    4. Three years experience in computer software applications and database applications and design hardware installation/configuration of computers and peripherals using multiple protocols
    5. One year of experience in a supervisory or direct management role within a diverse information technology department or group in the past five years
    6. Experience leading developing implementing and operating technology solutions in a complex systems and operational environment
    7. Knowledge skill and or experience in the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) strategies or be willing to receive training in those strategies
    8. Ability to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

    16. Ability to understand and maintain students and parents rights to confidentiality and not violate those rights; nor discuss students in inappropriate places or with anyone not in direct contact with such individual students.
    17. Utilize with fidelity the District Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program at the building level.
    18. Ensure information obtained through the course of duties associated with this position is held in the highest of confidentiality.
    19. Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws district procedures and Board policies including mandatory reporting procedures.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. Provide leadership and direction for the development operations services and continuous improvement of the district information systems and technology both at the district and building level.
    2. Supervise and direct the activities and performance of assigned personnel and cultivate a collaborative solution-oriented culture in the Department.
    3. Serve as an advisor and technical consultant with district and school leaders to coordinate technology initiatives efforts across the district and make recommendations on maintenance contracts and equipment for replacement or repair.
    4. Implement security measures that protect the privacy of district staff and student data and ensure measures are in place that limit student and staff access to prohibited internet content.
    5. Administer the financial system access management and permissions to minimize access and ensure audit compliance.
    6. Provide guidance and quotes to district personnel for all technology purchases.
    7. Oversee and administer the District web filtering applications.
    8. Prepare maintain and monitor the IT inventory and budget as it pertains to purchase and/or repair of hardware software wiring projects and telephone systems.
    9. Facilitate integration of services from site to site.
    10. Monitor the progress of major district technology projects to include facility closures moves and other major problem resolution.
    11. Establish policies and procedures as they relate to education technology in the District to include IT operations and IT housekeeping.
    12. Facilitate technology in-services and training for staff.
    13. Provide oversight and technical assistance with connectivity problems networking and servers.
    14. Assist computer technicians with software and hardware problems.
    15. Establish a recurring after-hours maintenance window for server updates.
    16. Oversee the routine installation upgrade and maintenance of computer software hardware and equipment components of the District computer systems networks peripherals CDs etc.
    17. Ensure the technological requirements of District departments schools and/or other end users are being met in a timely and efficient manner.
    18. Prepare and submit Technology Grants to include E-Rate.
    19. Prepare applicable Federal State and local reports and requests for information.
    20. Assist in the maintenance of existing telephone and voice mail systems.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Indoor school/district building and outdoors. Exposure to all weather conditions and temperatures. Exposure to noise dust gas and fumes. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate and may become excessively noisy at have contact with employees students and public.

    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
    The Information Technology Manager reports to the Director of District Facilities. The Information Technology Manager will supervise and evaluate all IT staff and will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions. All elements of good human relations will be practiced.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
    SALARY: $70000 annual
    WORK YEAR:12 Month Contract
