Job Summary

The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth managing key client relationships and providing technical expertise to support the promotion and sale of the companys equipment and solutions to the Oil & Gas sector. The role requires a strong blend of engineering knowledge commercial acumen and industry awareness to identify opportunities deliver value-added solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.

Tasks

  • Identify prospect and secure new business opportunities within the upstream midstream and downstream Oil & Gas sectors.
  • Promote and sell technical equipment such as pumps valves pipelines compressors drilling tools safety systems mechanical power transmission equipment instrumentation etc.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Conduct product presentations demonstrations and technical discussions with clients.
  • Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals quotations and tenders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients EPC contractors drilling companies oilfield service firms and regulatory bodies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients supporting them with product selection specifications and technical guidance.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and provide after-sales support to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Provide detailed technical explanations of equipment capabilities specifications and application suitability.
  • Liaise with OEMs and engineering teams to ensure accurate product configuration and compliance with client requirements.
  • Review technical drawings datasheets and engineering documents to support proposals and project execution.
  • Train clients and internal staff on product knowledge and technical features when required.
  • Monitor industry trends competitor activities and market developments within the Oil & Gas space.
  • Identify risks opportunities and potential partnerships.
  • Prepare weekly monthly and quarterly sales reports and forecasts.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Petroleum Engineering Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 57 years experience in technical sales within the Oil & Gas energy mechanical equipment or industrial engineering sectors.
  • Strong understanding of oilfield equipment drilling operations production systems and related technologies.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience working with EPC contractors IOCs NOCs and oilfield service companies is an advantage.
