Job Description

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

  • Administers office policies and procedures in a consistent and timely manner including the Front Desk Patient Experience Policy.
  • Supervises daily operations at Medical Offices and coordinates the work activities and schedules.
  • Assists in hiring of personnel; trains / orients new and existing staff; creates work assignments and schedules.
  • Evaluates performance within delegated areas.
  • Administers office policies and procedures in a consistent and timely manner.
  • Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities evaluating effectiveness and modifying activities as necessary.
  • Identifies analyzes and resolves work related problems and issues.
  • Supervises delegated office billing procedures such as patient registration encounter processing and reconciliation and charge entry. Works collaboratively with the Billing Department managers and staff to ensure timely and accurate bill processing and payment.
  • Manages relationships with outside vendors to ensure contract compliance and effective levels of support.
  • Works collaboratively and actively communicates with other Office Managers and administrative personnel to ensure maximum organizational efficiency and productivity.
  • Responds to patient concerns. Promotes quality patient care and service.
  • Serves on organizational committees and attends management meetings as requested.
  • Participates in professional development activities.
  • Adheres to all Company Compliance Program Policies and Procedures including all regulatory financial and OSHA requirements. Participates in and contributes to help achieve a total compliance program.
  • Manages assigned projects as directed. Performs other duties as requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 Years of medical office experience
  • High School Diploma required associates degree preferred
  • Knowledge of organizational policies procedures and systems
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Stronginterpersonal skills necessary to build staff administrative physician and community relationships
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
  • Flexibility in schedule and location as needed to meet organizational needs
