Production Supervisor
Position Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations in a startup environment. This leadership role is critical in ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced precision-focused environments and has a strong background in metals manufacturing team leadership and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production teams across assigned shifts.
Ensure adherence to production schedules quality standards and workplace safety protocols.
Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance efforts to prevent and minimize unplanned downtime.
Train coach and evaluate team members to foster a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Lead and support process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.
Collaborate with engineering quality and logistics to refine SOPs troubleshoot production issues and enhance throughput.
Maintain shift records including production output incident reports and performance metrics.
Enforce all company policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety guidelines.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing or related field (or equivalent experience).
3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or metallurgical setting.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to lead problem-solving efforts in coordination with technicians engineers and metallurgists.
Demonstrated leadership communication and people-management skills.
Proficiency with production management systems and data analysis tools.
Experience in superalloy or high-precision metals manufacturing is a plus.
Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement certification is preferred.
