Job Summary

Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to drive sustainability initiatives within a global operational context

In the role as Supplier Base Sustainability Engagement Manager in the Strategy Management Office in Global Operations you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer and realization of GN Sustainability Strategy.

You will play a critical role in supporting the Strategic Sustainability Program and be responsible for further development and implementation of GNs strategy for supplier and partner engagement in the area of sustainability.

The role ensures that GN suppliers and partners align with GNs Supplier Code of Conduct standards and sustainability ambitions by leveraging established frameworks and tools such as the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and EcoVadis. You will support and drive collaborative initiatives promote best practices and ensure GNs global supply chain contributes to achieving the companys sustainability goals. You will report to the Sustainability Excellence & Compliance Lead shape the new Sustainability Tem and collaborate with relevant functions across Global Operations Group Sustainability R&D.

The team you will be part of:

You will join SMO Strategy Management office in GO diverse and dynamic team developing and coordinating the execution of GO Strategy.

Your contribution is appreciated and you will:

  • Support further development and implementation of GNs global responsible supply chain and engagement strategy ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability objectives.
  • Coordinate and support facilitation of supplier sustainability assessments audits and performance reviews using RBA EcoVadis and internal evaluation tools.
  • Drive supplier engagement campaigns promoting continuous improvement in areas such as decarbonization circularity and human and labor rights.
  • Work with Partner Management Team and Sourcing Team to integrate and sustain sustainability requirements into sourcing and supplier selection development processes.
  • Support suppliers in building capacity and competence through training workshops and collaborative initiatives.
  • Monitor partners & suppliers performance against GNs sustainability KPIs and report progress to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Continuously identify and address ESG-related supply chain risks while supporting responsible sourcing practices.
  • Benchmark industry practices and continuously evolve GNs supplier engagement approach to remain competitive compliant and future proof.
  • Act as the main liaison with key partners and suppliers industry initiatives and external stakeholders to position GN trustworthy business partner.
  • Contribute in knowledge sharing and build sustainability competence within GO teams.

To perform well in the role we imagine that you:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management Business Sustainability or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in supply chain management responsible sourcing or sustainability preferably in a global organization.
  • Strong understanding of supplier engagement systems such as RBA EcoVadis and sustainability/ESG risk management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing supplier sustainability programs.
  • Experience working with global supplier networks and managing complex stakeholder relationships. (preferably in electronic industry and APAC region)
  • Familiarity with sustainability regulations human rights due diligence requirements and international reporting standards.
  • Project management experience with ability to manage cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience working in a global organization and managing stakeholders across regions.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills with ability to drive change across strategic stakeholders.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset with ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Skilled communicator able to translate technical and sustainability topics into clear actions for diverse stakeholders.
  • Embraces digitalization and is open to learning and applying AI-based solutions in everyday work.
