Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking a professional organised and proactive Executive Support Officer to provide high-level administrative and confidential support to the Chief Executive Officer Mayor Councillors and the Executive Office.
This position supports the effective day-to-day functioning of Councils Executive Office through responsibilities including diary and inbox management meeting coordination preparation of correspondence travel and event support and professional customer service.
What We Offer
- Full Time- (Stream A) Level 45-Salary: $77000$86000 per annum superannuation in accordance with the Local Government Act
- The opportunity to work closely with the CEO Mayor Councillors and senior staff
- A varied and meaningful role involving executive administration civic events and public-facing responsibilities
- Competitive remuneration including:
- Five weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
- Locality allowance
- Remote Area Housing Assistance allowance ($60 pw Renting / $90 pw Homeowner)
- Monthly Rostered Day Off
About You
You will bring experience as a proactive and reliable administrative professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to support busy teams in a fast-paced environment. You demonstrate a high level of discretion and professionalism and have a genuine interest in contributing to community-focused work and delivering quality service along with:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A high level of confidentiality discretion and professionalism
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and confidence in learning new systems
- Experience formatting official correspondence and preparing reports
- Confidence liaising with a range of stakeholders including dignitaries executives community members and elected officials
- A positive attitude and willingness to support events civic functions and occasional after-hours activities
- Previous administrative or secretarial experience (local government experience highly regarded)
Mandatory Requirements
- Current Police Clearance
- Unrestricted C Class Drivers Licence
Desirable Qualifications
- Certificate Diploma or relevant qualification in Business Administration
- Previous experience in Local Government
- Experience using systems such as Microsoft Office or social media platforms.
