Job Overview:
IIQAF Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper (Healthcare) to manage day-to-day accounting and financial record-keeping for our hospital and healthcare operations in Canada. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in bookkeeping healthcare accounting financial reconciliation payroll support and compliance with Canadian accounting standards.
This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial records timely reporting and compliance within a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate general ledger and bookkeeping records
- Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bank credit card and account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly quarterly and year-end financial reports
- Support payroll processing and statutory deductions
- Maintain financial data in accounting software and ERP systems
- Ensure compliance with hospital finance policies and healthcare regulations
- Assist with audits budgeting and financial analysis
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and healthcare-related information
- Collaborate with finance administration and healthcare management teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounting Clerk
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices
- Experience in hospital healthcare or medical environments
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Sage or similar)
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration
- Experience with healthcare accounting systems or hospital ERP software
- Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting audits and healthcare financial reporting
