We are looking for a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper to support our business growth in Toronto. This is a full-time permanent position.

How you will contribute:
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions (AP AR journal entries).
- Reconcile bank credit card and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and process invoices payments and expense reports.
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and documentation.
- Assist with HST/GST filings and other statutory reporting.
- Support financial management of multiple projects. Analyze project performance and ROI.
- Prepare basic financial reports and schedules as required.
- Respond to vendor and internal accounting inquiries.
- Coordinate internally and externally to support auditing.
- Identify areas of improvement. Contribute ideas and suggestions.
- Determine cost-effective alternatives for current and future projects
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned
What you bring to the table:
- Completion of post-secondary degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- 1-3 years of accounting t or bookkeeping experience in Canada.
- Currently pursuing or planning to pursue CPA designation.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles best practices standards and regulations.
- Experience with accounting software any experience with Sage or Oracle is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Outlook and Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key trends risks and opportunities.
- Strong communication skills and a good team player.
