Job Summary

Shipping Manager

Industry - Automobile

Location - Mumbai

Execution & Implementation: Seeking PIs from market as per marketing plan (MP). Booking of the space in vessels. RFQ for container rates and Freight negotiation. Shipping documents to be made as per the generated PI. Ensuring timely movement of units from PSC to Port. Ensuring the complete loading of the vehicles onto the vessels. Post shipment documentation. Implement 3PLs resolving customs queries in coordination with port team. Provide shipping solutions for special requirements ( Bulk/Tender) Evaluate & monitor shipping service availability in the EXIM trade portal to help identify new shipping services options.

Financial Management: Ensure all Performa Invoices are received from market which are aligned to monthly budgeted numbers Responsible for achieving monthly export target for the assigned region / country. Ensure Commercial Instruments like LC/Advance/Exim are obtained from Markets for monthly marketing plans. Negotiate long term/spot rate with Container Shipping lines by obtaining Quotations negotiating and agree for best rates credit terms and free periods. Ensure that shipping commercials are thoroughly negotiated to get optimal rates. Vessel tracking and ETA tracking Certification Process Inspection of vehicles required for specific Countries.

Relationship Management: Collaborate and build relationship with Country Managers Pre-shipment Centre Customer Care Finance Shipping lines Freight Fowarders CHA Customs & Port Authorities.
